Who will teach the course?
While there will not be a live person teaching you the courses, you should probably know who created the course. His name is Chuck Bush and he has quite an impressive bio.
Are there prerequisites I need in order to qualify for the course?
No. There are no pre‐qualifications required in order to take the course.
Are there textbooks/additional course materials I will need to purchase?
No. All course materials are included in the online platform.
How long does it take to go through the course?
It is estimated to take 20‐40 hours or 4‐6 weeks of self‐study to go through the course. Because it is self‐ paced, you can decide how much time, over how many weeks to study. If you have a strong business background, it could take you fewer hours that what we state above.
I see there is a practice exam available. How do I get access to that?
You will gain access to the practice exam after purchasing the course.
Will I know right away if I passed?
Yes. The platform will let you know right away what percentage you received on the test.
What is a passing score?
The passing score is 70%.
If I fail the test, can I retake it and when?
Yes. You can retake the exam one time within 10 days of your exam date. For a fee of $250, you can move your exam to the next test date.
If I begin the course and decide I can’t complete it by the time the test date comes, can I defer taking the test to the next window?
The timing of the course material and testing date are purposely planned to ensure students are committed to obtaining the certification; however, unforeseen circumstances do arise. If this happens, please contact certfication@acg.org to see if you can defer your test date.

Testing will begin at 5:00 a.m. Eastern, Friday and close at 11:00 p.m. Eastern, Saturday.
How long do I have to take the test?
Once you begin the test, you will have 4 hours to complete it but most complete it in 1‐2 hours.
How many questions are on the test?
There are 100 questions on the test.
Will I have to recertify?
It will cost $450 every two years to recertify. You will need to show continuing education credits but you will not need to take the exam again.
Does this course count towards any continuing education credits?
At this time, the MMP certification course is not associated with any continuing education credits.
How do I get started?
Go to this web page https://acg.thinkific.com/, choose the certification course, then “Buy Course”.
On the test date, do I have to go to a testing center?
You do not need to go to a testing center. You will take the test on your computer. Starting at 5 a.m. Eastern on the day the test opens, you will go to your Thinkific dashboard and choose the test.
How will I let my colleagues know that I have earned the MMP certification?
You will be able to download a badge that you can share on your social media accounts, including LinkedIn. You can also add “MMP” after your name in your email signature, staff page of your employer’s website, business cards, your LinkedIn profile, etc. You will also receive a downloadable certificate that you can hang on your wall and have in the background during Zoom calls.
I have several colleagues interested in taking the course with me/I want my department to take the course. Can we get a group discount?
Yes! Please email certification@acg.org to get a link to purchase either a 5‐course bundle or 10‐course bundle. Please note which bundle you would like to purchase in the body of the email. The price for the 5‐course bundle is $7,500 ($1,500 each) and the price for the 10‐course bundle is $12,500 ($1,250 each).
